ADVOCACY

The 16 Days of Activism is a program supported by the U.N., that focuses on the impact of domestic violence.  Zonta International's  "Say No To Violence"

message is highlighted by the Zonta Club of Botany Bay's Behind Closed Doors posters.

These framed posters which display DV contact numbers have been placed  behind the doors of women's toilets in the Cronulla area and throughout the Georges River Council area.

This program has been financially supported by Georges River Council.

ADVOCACY in action

As part of the 16 Days of Activism, ZCBB along with other clubs in District 24, have knitted bright and colourful wraps which are used to decorate palm trees in Circular Quay.   Each tree has a message about Domestic and Family Violence including new laws relating to Coersive Control.

ADVOCACY in action

As part of the 16 Days of Activism, ZCBB along with other clubs in District 24, joined the Zonta Says No walk across Sydney Harbour Bridge on the first Sunday of December.

This walk attracts attention of the general public by 70+ Zonta members wearing orange T-shirts and caps.   Orange is the U.N. colour of "Hope".

Zonta members continue to advocate to local members of parliament for stronger bail laws and increased funding for domestic violence victims.
